CrimShield Number Verification
Imagine being able to verify a person’s photo identity and crime-free background, all at no cost to you. This
can be a reality through the use of CrimShield Verification. Every CrimShield member receives two personal identifiers,
an IN# (Identification Number) and a CC# (CrimShield Card.) Each number is unique and serves a special purpose. The following
will explain the purpose, uses, and verification process of each identifier.
THE CC#
Your individually assigned CC# will appear on your CrimShield Card. Your card will also include your full name,
uploaded photo, membership expiration date, and home address. This card and number are to be guarded, much like a
social security card. The CC# and card should not be used for online activity, only for in-person communications.
This is how it works:
 |
CRIMSHIELD CARD NUMBER: If you were shown a CrimShield Identification Card in person and need to verify their membership, (i.e.: CC-234F69R3) |
- Physically verify CC# and photo on card. You must hold the card in your
hand, verify the picture and compare it with a United States Government issued ID card.
- Click on Verification Shield at www.crimshield.com
- Enter information obtained from the card
- Receive Verification
- Print Certificate
THE IN#
We live in the internet age where you can buy anything from A to Z online. You can anonymously search for a date,
apply for a job, invest, or subscribe to anything; all on the internet. All this freedom, but do you feel safe? Your
CrimShield IN# is unique to you. Instead of using your full name (and divulging valuable personal information) you can
simply substitute your IN#. You can post this number on any of your online profiles, including dating or auction
sites. Then, others who interact with you can verify your identity online at CrimShield.com. This number can be
changed as frequently as you like. There are two ways that the IN# can be used:
***IN pin uses your unique IN# in
association with a pin # that you create. The In pin should be used
in chat rooms, e-mail communications, and over the phone. We recommend you change your pin # often for security
purposes.
***IN site uses your IN# in connection
with a website (URL) and profile name. Your IN site should be used on
websites where you have created a unique profile. Ex: MySpace, eBay, or match.com.
